Business, camaraderie, and sport came together at The Manila Times Golf Cup 2026, held on January 29, 2026, at Club Intramuros, as industry leaders and golf enthusiasts gathered for a day of friendly competition and meaningful networking.

The tournament provided an ideal setting to forge new friendships and explore business opportunities, reinforcing golf’s reputation as a platform where relationships are built beyond the boardroom. The event was led by The Manila Times under the dynamic leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Anna Marie Ang-Thompson, whose appointment in late 2025 ushered in a fresh strategic vision for the country’s longest-running newspaper.

Also in attendance were The Manila Times President Blanca Mercado and Consul Michael Ang, along with other distinguished guests, highlighting the strong support behind the publication and its growing community. The tournament drew 70 players, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere throughout the historic course.

Supported by Rising Tigers Magazine, the Manila Times Golf Cup 2026 highlighted the publication’s commitment to fostering engagement, collaboration, and goodwill within the business and professional sectors, proving that meaningful connections can be built just as powerfully on the greens as they are in the newsroom.
