Meet the young Rising Tigers behind Harvard World Model United Nations 2025

Kevin Lin

Kevin is a junior at Harvard College studying Applied Math and Bio with a secondary in Global Health. Aside from WorldMUN, Kevin is part of the Winthrop House Committee. Originally from Charlotte, NC, in his free time, he loves watching basketball, playing pickleball, and learning more about international relations. Kevin is the current Secretary-General of the Harvard World Model United Nations.

Ashley Vasquez Romo

Ashley is a junior in Quincy House from Las Vegas, Nevada double concentrating in Human Evolutionary Biology and Neurobiology. She is doing a secondary in Economics and receiving a citation in Spanish. Outside of WorldMUN, she is a tutor for students, a certified nursing assistant, and involved in Women in Medicine. In her free time, Ashley enjoys solving puzzles, listening to music, napping, and spending quality time with family and friends. Ashley is the Director-General of the Harvard World Model United Nations.

Kuma Mccraw

Kuma is a junior at Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS)  studying Mechanical Engineering. He is originally from Oakland, California. Outside of performing his duties on the WorldMUN secretariat, he enjoys working on robotics projects and playing basketball. When he’s not studying, Kuma enjoys trying new restaurants and shooting pool with friends. Kuma is the USG for Business of Harvard Model United Nations.

Jieyan Wang

Jieyan is a senior at Harvard College double concentrating in English and East Asian Studies with a language citation in French. Outside of WorldMUN, she works at the Harvard Art Museums as a student guide and sings in the Radcliffe Choral Society. She is from Idaho. She is currently the Chair of Special Political and Decolonization Committee.

Ted Sunshine

Ted is a Junior in Cabot House concentrating in History with a secondary in Economics. Although originally from Boston, much of Ted’s family comes from the Philippines. Besides WorldMUN, Ted is an avid photographer, outdoorsman, and a film enthusiast. He has a keen interest in learning about other cultures and their histories, which is part of the reason why he loves WorldMUN. Ted also was an Alpine Ski racer for a decade, and currently plays for the Harvard Polo team. This year, he is serving as one of our Undersecretary Generals for committees.

Sebastian Ramirez Feune

Sebastian is a senior at Harvard College concentrating in Government with a secondary in Economics. He is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and lives in Dunster House. Sebastian has chaired extensive MUN conferences in past years, specializing in the SOCHUM General Assembly. He is heavily involved in the Harvard Institute of Politics, Harvard Mariachi Veritas, and the Harvard Crimson. Sebastian has previously spoken at the United Nations for the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. In his free time, Sebastian enjoys reading, jogging, and playing guitar. Sebastian is the USG for Committees at the Harvard Model United Nations.

Gissell Chapa

Gissell is a junior from Dallas, Texas studying Human Development and Regenerative Biology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Aside from WorldMUN, she sings with the Harvard Radcliffe Collegium Musicum and serves as the current Manager. In her free time, Gissell enjoys running, exploring new coffee shops and amusement parks.

Anjali Vlassak

Anjali is a senior in Cabot from Boston, Massachusetts concentrating in Chemical and Physical Biology. Anjali loves genetics research and is going to graduate school. During her free time, she likes to paint, bike, hang out with her grandma, and cook gnocchi. She is the current USG for Delegate Relations at the Harvard World Model United Nations.

Brianna Chan

Brianna is a junior in Eliot House from Plano, Texas concentrating in Computer Science with a secondary in Economics. Outside of WorldMUN, she is in involved with Smart Woman Securities and Product Lab, and loves hiking, traveling, and going on long walks along the Charles. She is the current USG for media, technology and design at the Harvard World Model United Nations.

Vinny Li

Vinny is a junior in Winthrop House from Los Angeles, California concentrating in Applied Math with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Aside from WorldMUN, she is also involved in an Evening with Champions and MakeHarvard. During her free time, she loves biking along the Charles and trying new Matcha spots with her friends. She is the USG for Administration at the Harvard World Model United Nations.

Tyler Castillo Javier

Tyler is currently taking Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy and International Affairs at the College of Saint Benilde. He led a team that placed 7th in Global Climathon hosted by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Climate-KIC in 2020, he volunteered on Medical Missions, Community Outreaches, UNICEF Benilde and Impact Week by Lufthansa Group. He was selected to represent De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and the Philippines at the 32nd Harvard World Model United Nations in Taipei, Taiwan. He won the bid to host the 33rd Harvard World Model United Nations and was selected to be the President of the Host Team for the 33rd Harvard World Model United Nations 2025.

Mauro Legario III

Mau is currently taking Diplomacy and International Affairs at the College of Saint Benilde. He is a member of Fridays for Future Philippines, UNICEF Benilde and Youth Advocates for Climate Action Philippines. He partake as the Delegate of the Kingdom of Sweden in the Harvard World Model United Nations 2024. He was a Delegate of New Zealand in the United Nations General Assembly at the Benilde Model United Nations. Mau is also a recipient of the Carlos P. Romulo Award. He developed a design prototype modeled for a “Just Transition Energy” as part of the Design Thinking Challenge during the Impact Week Philippines 2023. Mau volunteered to multiple organizations – Community Volunteer for Social Development, Head of Research Team for Voice of Palestine Campaign, Fashion Against Fascism and Fossil Fuel Staffer, Ipamana Huwag Ipamina: Global Climate Strike, Electoral Campaign Volunteer. He is the Director for Sponsorships at the Harvard World Model United Nations 2025.

Andria Terese Nicolas

Andria recently graduated from De La Salle University-Manila with a Bachelor of Arts degree Major in Political Science. She conducted a case study on Exploring Voter Perspectives from Oriental Mindoro and Batangas on Electing A Celebrity-Turn-Politician for Local Public Office. She was a Magisterial Secretary at the DLSU-USG Judiciary, a former Minister for Program Development at DLSU Model United Nations Community and was a member of La Salle Debate Society. She completed her Internship at the Office of Senator Grace Poe at the Senate of the Philippines.

As a young Philanthropist, she was the former President of Kiwanis Club of Makati, she is also a member-representative of the largest Filipino-American Non-profit Organization in the country, the American Association of the Philippines. As a golfer, she led one of her company’s biggest projects, Rising Tigers Cup 2023 at the Manila Golf and Country Club. She was also a speaker in TEDx which is one of the biggest public speaking platforms in the world, her talk is about “The Power of Storytelling”. She is currently the Vice President of TAG Media Group and Public Relations, and the CMO of the most distributed business and leadership magazines in the country, Rising Tigers Magazine, Incharge Magazine and Top News Asia, TAG Media Group became one of the fastest growing media conglomerates in the Philippines. She is part of the Advisory Board of Harvard MUN Manila 2025. As an aspiring lawyer and public servant, she joined Harvard MUN Manila Board to understand and learn global perspectives and test her skills as a leader.

Jericho L. Banaybanay

Jericho is taking BA Development Studies at the University of the Philippines. He is the Founder and Secretary-General of UP Manila Model United Nations. He is a college scholar and a deans lister. He is an Executive Committee Member of UP Alpha Sigma Fraternity and is active in humanitarian service initiatives. He’s an advocate for feminism and international humanitarian rights. His interests are gym training, basketball, football, golf, reading, cooking and crafting the perfect cup of coffee. He is the Vice President of Internals at the Harvard World Model United Nations 2025.

Phoebe Joy D. Silang

Phoebe is currently taking up Diplomacy and International Affairs at the College of Saint  Benilde, she has been a top student since childhood, and a consistent dean’s lister. She has been an active member in various student organizations, both in student councils and academic groups, and participated in national leadership programs. This year, she debuted in MUNs at Benilde Model United Nations and won her first award in Best Position paper, she became part of the organizing committee of the same MUN and was awarded as one of the outstanding secretariats. She won in various Debate, Oratory and Impromptu speaking competitions throughout her academic life. She is the Vice President for Externals and Director of Finance at the Harvard WorldMUN Manila 2025.

Zhe Li

Zhe is taking up BA Economics and BS Applied Corporate Management at the De La Salle University-Manila. He was the President of De la Societe and the current Executive Chair of Externals for DLSU International Student Network. He is the CEO of Paraiso Chino Property Leasing and the Event Coordinator of PC Wedding and Events.
