Philippine Food Expo 2026 Showcased Filipino Flavors, Innovation, and Global Opportunities

The 18th Philippine Food Expo (PFE) 2026 opened its doors from April 17 to 19 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of flavors, creativity, and collaboration. Running daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the event brought together key players from the food, beverage, agriculture, and export sectors, offering an immersive look at the evolving landscape of Filipino cuisine.

Organized by PHILFOODEX Inc., the expo reaffirmed its position as the country’s premier all-Filipino food trade exhibition. The 2026 edition expanded its reach with a stronger international presence and broader industry participation, highlighting both tradition and innovation in the Filipino food sector.

The opening ceremonies set the tone for the three-day showcase, beginning with a ribbon-cutting led by the Department of Agriculture, followed by a formal program featuring prominent government officials and industry leaders.

Among those present were Ma. Cristina A. Roque of the Department of Trade and Industry, Cheryl Marie Natividad-Caballero, and Verna C. Buensuceso of the Department of Tourism, along with representatives from local government, including Pasay City.

Leaders from the export and business sectors also took part in the program, including officials from PHILEXPORT and PHILFOODEX, underscoring the strong collaboration between government and industry in advancing the country’s food sector.

The ceremony was further attended by foreign ambassadors, consuls, and representatives from various industry associations, reflecting the expo’s growing international relevance.

Following the formal program, PFE 2026 unfolded as both a trade platform and a lifestyle experience. It celebrated the richness of Filipino culinary heritage while embracing innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness.

Keynote messages throughout the event emphasized the continued growth of the Philippine food industry and its expanding role in global trade, positioning Filipino cuisine as both a cultural asset and an emerging force in international markets.
