The hotel is designed with a mix of Eastern and Western touches with artworks inspired by the classical Sung Dynasty pieces. There are 43 stories in the hotel which is above Taipei\u2019s flourishing business district, and it&#8217;s an integral part of the Taipei Metro Complex.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located on the fashionable tree-lined Tun Hwa South Road, the hotel is convenient five minutes from the Taipei World Trade Convention and Exhibition Center, 15 minutes from Taipei Songshan Airport, and 45 minutes from Taoyuan International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, the hotel has completed NT$ 1.5 Billion (approximately US$ 50 Million) renovation last May 2015, with an upgrade in all 420 guestrooms and suites, the Horizon Club Lounge, lobby, driveway as well as Lobby Court, and The Cake Room. The refurbishment is in keeping with the hotel\u2019s elegant surroundings that have warmly welcomed guests since 1994. Custom artwork created for the property includes \u201cAlong the River during the Qing Ming Festival\u201d, an installation depicting the ancient capital of Kaifeng by famous Taiwanese artist Shen Cheen.
