As the old song by Bob Dylan goes ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’ we are in another precipice of huge changes across the horizon as technology is once again reshaping both economy and society. As enterprises are invested in their innovation cycle, the people within these organizations are also are in transition: moving beyond existing processes and designing the future structures of both business and the economy.

Gail Cruz-Macapagal, the Country Director of DynaQuest Technology Services Inc., is at the forefront of these constant changes. With a career spanning across two decades across various industries of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), banking & finance, technology, shared services and is now fully-immersed in Blockchain.

“Blockchain was something I never really thought I would be a part of. But as the company (DynaQuest) explores new horizons under the initiative of our CEO, Randy Knutson, everyone must adapt and learn new skills.”

A self-professed learner and once a student of Blockchain and is now a Certified Blockchain Expert, Gail also found it surprising on how far she have reached into the industry of Blockchain. “Blockchain technology was a foreign language when I was new to the concept, but through hard-work, further studies and successfully completing a Blockchain certification course, I was able to work on several Blockchain projects with the company from 2018 up until today.” Gail said.

It is quite remarkable on how far Gail has achieved when she first started with Blockchain – and now is among the most recognized and influential Filipino women professionals in Southeast Asia. Her journey has lead her far into the full-immersion within the technology: having helped organized Bacolod’s first Blockchain workshop, leading the management thru various agritech projects with partners of DynaQuest and being featured across the globe’s biggest Blockchain and Decentralized technology online / on-site forums. Gail is also a prominent keynote speaker in Technology, Blockchain and Women Empowerment Conferences and Seminars.

Gail believes that the best part of her Blockchain career is how she helps put the spotlight on the Filipino women professionals, leaders and developers of Blockchain. From 2018 to the present 2022 editions, Gail has organized and helped publish the Women of Blockchain Philippines, an annual publication that celebrates the most successful women in the Philippine Blockchain industry every Women’s Month.

From shining a spotlight to the women of Blockchain and is now trailblazing new opportunities for businesses and enterprises in the Decentralized Metaverse economy of the future, the Meta Woman of Blockchain that is Gail sees better and brighter opportunities for the Philippine economy as it recovers from the global pandemic.

Gail is part of the 100 Most Influential Filipino Women in LinkedIn for 2021 and 2022, she was also an awardee for the Philippine Empowered Men and Women of the Year 2022. This June, she was given a recognition during the ALAB awards for her valuable contribution to the fulfillment of the initiatives of the Department of Information and Communications Technology as Founder of the Women In Blockchain Philippines. She is also am IT-BPM Industry Ambassador of the DICT. Gail is also a Brand Influencer for Great Image Philippines and Sprout Solutions Brand Ambassador.

Gail also serves as Vice President of the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP) and a Country Representative and Board Member of Humanility Lighthouse Foundation. Just recently, Gail spear-headed the Retro Glow foam Party for a Cause: A fundraising event for the Humanility Education Program which raised Php 620,000 in cash as well as donating 15 fully-equipped laptops for their Computer Learning Center.

She is also into NFTs as she has helped launched the Humanility Empowered Children NFT’s for a cause which also aims to raise funds for their education program. She is also part of Global Women Who Rule (GWWR) an organization of successful women leader’s across the globe. She is also a published author, and a contributor to the book called: Pinay Lady Boss, A conversation with Women who Rule the Money World, she is joined by prominent women leaders , Business Owners and CEO’s in the Philippines.

To be able to do all these things, Gail is a loving wife to her husband Orven, and is a doting mother to her children Orven Lorenzo 14yo, Oscar Ramon 12yo,  and Orange Gail Patrice 10yo.
