MERNEL’S FOOD CORP – SME’s CSR Company of the Year at KIWANIS ASPAC 2022
Last April 2, 2022, Merle Balicao – with her great honor & pride accepted the prestigious SME’s CSR COMPANY of the Year Award at the KIWANIS ASPAC 2022, on behalf of MERNEL’S FOOD CORP. and together with her whole MERNEL’S team who made their company remarkably productive. Joining her on stage is Carmela Balicao the young CEO of MerNel’s Food Corp.
Merle, recognize all her MerNel’s colleagues for being there that night.
“You truly exemplify what is at the heart of our company. To stay in the marketplace amidst many obstacles, armed with compassion and a purpose-driven mindset to bring goodness if not perfection to everything we do. This award is truly a testament to your leadership”
says Merle.
Merle also dedicated the award to her family, who helped & supported her to make this all possible. It is her role as a mother to her three amazing children and to a hundred and plus employees that enhances her ability to lead a company with thoughtfulness, imagination, and empathy. She’s so thankful for their support & for keeping her grounded, with their unending enthusiasm for the goodness they have created together.
The severe consequences brought about by COVID-19 which have increased poverty and gaps within society require special attention physically & economically to vulnerable people. These people in fact face greater risks and uncertainties to their health; their economic condition and their well-being, therefore, the whole world prioritize their absolute protection. Putting themselves into their shoes, both our government and the people concerned they come up with a program to do their share and as part of MerNel’s mission together with some non-government organizations (NGOs) are making an effort to help and actively support vulnerable individuals in this pandemic period. In this regard, MerNel’s not only goes beyond the usual production of their products but also extended a helping hand & has responded to the needs of the community.
In conclusion, She fervently prays to God to continuously bless us all with His Wisdom, with Joy in our hearts to do JOYFULLY & THANKFULLY whatever we are into, Love & Respect for each other so we can harmoniously work together not only for the good of the Company but most especially for the upliftment of the dignity of each one & all…
